Washing and caring for your equipment

This page contains information about how to wash anything you have bought from me, as well as information about the fabrics used.
Fox bags
Your bag is made of the following materials.
Outside: 100% Polyester + Polyurethane (Oeko-Tex 100) - waterproof, though don’t go swimming with them
Inside: 100% Cotton (Oeko-Tex 100)
Strap: 100% Polypropylene for the rainbow one or 100% Polyamide (Nylon) for the paw strap
Metal parts: Steel, nickel-plated, galvanized
Magnets: Neodymium
Washing instructions
If you need to wash them, they can be washed by hand or in the washing machine using the wool/delicate wash program. Use max 30°C or better 20°C setting to save energy. Always use a washing detergent for “color” fabrics. If your dominantly white bag does not look very white anymore, you can try using a detergent for white clothing, but the contained bleach can fade the print, so be aware of that.

Fur suits
Your fursuit is usually made of acrylic or polyester fur. Some parts of it can be washed in the washing machine. For all parts:

Washing instructions
Use only washing detergent for “color” fabrics. If your suit is really dirty, only white suits can be washed with a detergent made for white clothing as they contain bleach. You can add a disinfectant when washing them. Recommended for the body suit as it can get smelly.
Body suit
This part can be washed in the machine on 30°C max, although 20°C will work equally well with less energy consumption. Always wash inside out. Let it dry flat, never put it into the sun during drying.

Only ever surface wash the head. Take a cloth or sponge and clean the surface. Don’t submerge them into the water unless you are really sure about what you are doing. If in doubt, ask me first as I know the exact construction of your suit. Let it dry inside next to a fan or outside if it can be kept in the shade. Never dry it in the sun.
Only surface washTail
If your tail contains a foam core, do not submerge that into water. If you can take off the fur via a zipper, you can wash that part in the washing machine. Tails with polyfill can be washed in the machine but if in doubt ask me. Dry it next to a fan or outside in the shade.
Only surface washHand paws
They can go into the washing machine. Put them into a laundry net about their size. One net for each. Drying is a quite long process, get a small fan you can stuff into them so they are not damp for a long time.

The fluffy stompers can only be surface washed with a wet cloth or spongue as they contain EVA foam plates and hot glue that might not survive submerging very well. If in doubt, ask me about it first. Drying them is complicated as well. You really should get a USB fan you can stuff into them so the inside gets contant air exchange while drying. Alternatively you can use a hair dryer on the inside but only ever let it blow inside for 5-10 seconds, then wait for a while.
Only surface washPlushies
Your fluffy companion is made of polyester fur fabric. While the fabric can be washed I do not recommend submerging them in water. The polyfill might clump or get otherwise ugly and/or deformed. If you need to clean something, only surface wash with a cloth or sponge and let it dry next to a fan or outside in the shade. Never put them into the sun to dry.
